Special Technique/Craft: Dabu
Dabu is an ancient mud resist hand-block print from Akola Rajasthan, Traditionally only natural dyes were used but now-a-days with the availability of synthetic dyes, a lot of colour variations are being tried by artisans. For a colourful look, fabrics can be dyed more than once, via the process of double or triple dabu. he process of dabu creates a subtle tonal depth in the prints where the patterns used are inspired by the motifs that are picked from nature & its surrounding elements.
